La coparticipación en el coste de los servicios o copago es
una medida implantada por la mayoría de las compañías de seguros de salud
para concienciar del uso responsable de los servicios médicos:
Sanitas te informa de la coparticipación en el coste de los servicios para cada póliza; - a través de su servicio de Atención al Cliente, - en el portal de clientes - así como mediante la comunicación trimestral al domicilio de contacto de la póliza. |
Many health insurance companies have been using the
copayment system as a way to encourage the responsible use of medical
services: * the policyholder pays an established contribution each time services are used * this helps to limit the generalised premium increase for all policyholders in the company, thanks to the individualised use of the available services * a copayment is normally a fixed amount, although it is sometimes a progressive cost eg the A+E copayment amount increases if you visit the Accident and Emergency department more than 5 times a quarter Sanitas tells you about copayment costs for each policy via; - Customer service department - the portal (each Sanitas policyholder can access the portal) - a quarterly statement sent to the policyholder's home address |
