What is Sanitas Health Plan Classic? (Français) ( Castellano )
Health insurance available nationally offered via the Sanitas healthcare network - principally (but not exclusively) created for foreigners living along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands and who want to have complete medical cover - hospitalisation, out-patient, emergencies etc. It is the product with the most complete network cover for all of your health care needs.
Joining age 0 - 64 ... no upper limit for retaining membership! (surcharge - new members subject to acceptance by Risk Department / recargo - nuevos socios sujeto al VºBº del Dpto de Riesgo)
Spanish policyholders are also welcome!

How does Sanitas Health Plan Classic work?
The policyholder;
* can use his / her Sanitas card to go to the Sanitas healthcare network in Spain where 100% of the cost of services is covered (access to GP, specialists, paediatrics, SRN complete medical cover - hospitalisation, out-patient, emergencies, diagnostic tests and their therapeutic methods etc). The member does not pay anything up front.
* Cover for emergency healthcare treatment abroad - worldwide
* If
you are already pregnant you can join the plan for an adjusted surcharge
* Access to bilingual telephonic assistance 24 hours a day: help, advice or anything related to your policy (English/Spanish)
* Documentation in English / Spanish (general and particular conditions, user guide, etc)
* Special doctors network (indicating the languages spoken by the doctors in English, Spanish and German)
* Emergency healthcare cover when travelling outside Spain
* Second Opinion (serious illnesses)
* contributes to the cost of services (Copayment costs)
* Dental (Sanitas dental) - optional
* No waiting periods

Birth - 300 days / vasectomy and sterilisation - 180 days
Can you 'transfer in' from another Sanitas policy?
Yes - from Sanitas Básico, Sanitas Multi and Sanitas Mundi - your waiting periods will be honoured.
Can you 'transfer out' from Sanitas Health Plan Classic to Sanitas Mundi, Sanitas Health Plan Complete, or Sanitas Oro ? The waiting periods of the new products will apply. The disputability period will not apply. A new health declaration will be required.
