Sanitas Multi. Second opinion (serious illnesses only) ( Castellano ) (Français)
For serious chronic illnesses which need programmed help. To use this service the policyholder has to ensure that his / her clinical record includes written medical reports, X rays or other diagnostic tests. This file will be shown by Sanitas confidentially to the centre or specialist concerned according to the illness in question (of international prestige).Some illnesses covered (list not exhaustive):

* Neurosurgical illnesses including of the brain
* Chronic renal problems
* Parkinson
*Alzheimer
* Multiple Sclerosis
How to organise this?
To use this service:
1. the policyholder should contact 'Oficina Mundi' (telephone )" and complete the request form for 'Segunda Opinión Médica'.
2. The 'Oficina Mundi' medical team will initially study the request.
3. If a second opinion is considered necessary the policyholder will be asked for any medical information needed - then it will be sent to the Boston international team.
4. The Boston team will analyse the case and produce a second medical opinion (helped by the relevant specialists).
5. When Sanitas receives the reply from Boston the policyholder will be sent the results in around 15 days.
